    HEY @nIGHTmAYOR !

I just wanted to let you know that after a bios update, the system was able to see and use the whole 6GB of ram I put inside :)

Thanks again for the awesome work on the drivers :)

Thanks for the reps and reporting back which may help others resolve issues they may have , so yes as hinted in opening post and directions offered to you , bios updates to these GPUs are essential , it was during that era maximum memory cap was elevated from 4 GBs to 8 GBs on early generation DDR3 laptops (now seems DDR2 as well) and additional increase in GPU shared memory was introduced , BIOS updates became essential during that time to communicate these changes to windows so your case is one of those it seems despite being on a DDR2 setup .

    Hey,
I have pretty much the same laptop. To which bios have you updated to see all the ram properly?

You gotta have the SAME laptop or the 5735Z variant in order to flash version 1.10 of the bios, found in the acer FTP website. I don't want to dirty up this thread, so no external links. It's a super easy google search trust me :)
@nIGHTmAYOR as soon as we'll have time we'll test some emulators like ppsspp to see if your drivers did an even bigger magic :)

HP G60-443CL with 4500MHD and this driver made Win10 bearable. I also changed the Desktop Theme to WIndows (Light) and it runs much faster. Light theme runs faster on the Microsoft WDDM 1.1 driver too but fastest seems to be modded driver + Light theme.

WIndows updates will override this modded driver so need to prevent that somehow. I did a rollback and it seems to have stopped (for now)

I do have a blank screen after sleeping+wakeup though LCD screen closing. Sleeping+wakeup through keystrokes are fine. Occurs on both this and MS WDDM 1.1 driver so the bug is elsewhere in Win10 on this machine. Wasn't an issue on Win7

    Thanks for the hardwork :)

I made the driver version number so high that no other driver on windows catalog can seem high enough to update it , so if this is happening this is something else other than Windows Update , so maybe you have the hp assistant installed or driver updater/booster variant or something else that manages drivers updates you should remove .

Also i assume by saying bearable and going for faster you haven't upgraded your rams yet to 8 gbs , as an advice you should , the first generation ddr3 (800 up to 1333) and ddr2 (667 up to 800) ram modules are so cheap right now they are almost giving them away , they will increase your laptop's performance significantly you wont feel on an old hardware any more .

Finally the blank screen after waking up is a common hp error reported on several forums starting Windows 8.1 , hp hosts odd solutions that people don't find them to work like this one : https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03518165 , a more adequate solution however is to shift to hibernate not sleep , it is even better , hibernation do not drain battery like sleep does .

Thanks for the note on version #. My gfx driver install process was as follows

    1. Win7 upgrade to Win10. Win10 installed MS WDDM 1.1
    2. Attempted to install another driver. Installer failed during installation
    3. Did the 3 step admin priv installation of this modded driver
    4. Triggered Windows Updates and it installed WDDM 1.1 again. I did rollback and subsequence Win Update didn't touch the driver.

Perhaps the other driver's failed install is what caused problems for me. Anyway, thanks for the high version # info. I know what to do if problems persist.

Yes, I came across a lot of posts on LCD LID closing blank outs. Will try out hibernate. I did find a easy enough solution that I posted here

Thanks again for all the hardwork on the driver to keep these things running :)

I think it's a Windows 10-related issue. I simply disabled this function on my girlfriend's Acer notebook and told her to turn it off when she does not need to use it. S
@nIGHTmAYOR man, yours was a super smart move. I would give you tons of reps for that sky-high version number trick

Guys, my notebook has a gma4500m card (not 4500mhd), I was looking for win 10 drivers for it and I couldn't find it, I tried to install this mhd driver but it didn't work (it works, but I had errors in the games), do you know any for at 4500m?

    My notebook is a Pentium T4500, 4gb ram ddr3, chipset GL40, and the GMA4500m.

    Thanks in advance

If this driver doesn't work for you I assume nothing else would , it is the same driver used for the 4500m too , for starters do a run "sfc /scannow" in Command Prompt (Admin) to make sure no Windows Corruption present .

But sadly here might be the reason why you might have errors as stated in post :
I am not a wizard , if you do not have 8 GBs of RAM you will still suffer accelerated the driver is or not . It does run well on 4 GBs of RAM but then do not ask much from it other than running basic games and normal tasks .

So if you plan to stay with 4GBs don't stress it with serious games , Windows 10 with a running instance of Chrome browser and an antivirus and a download at the back ground may well reach the 4gigs ceiling imagine that .

Still if you want to make sure if other drivers may act better feel free to try other drivers .
