144hz and 60hz Stuttering Issues
Hello everyone. So I have a Gigabyte 15 x9 laptop that has a i7-8750H and a RTX 2080, and I have always used 60hz monitors in the past so I have a couple spares. I went to plug in one of them to use as an extra extended monitor to watch stuff while I play games, so I would put stuff in it such as Google Chrome and Discord. The two monitors don't play nicely for some reason and when watching something, video games on my main 144hz laptop panel are stuttery and laggy as hell and it's super annoying, I unplug the monitor and things act normal and fine.I heard that setting the display to GPU scaling would fix this issue, so I tried that and I got this basically (not my video but describes what happens): Problem with monitor scaling with Nvidia gpu - YouTube
Then people in the comments say to unplug the monitor and try it again, but since it's a laptop, half of the nvidia settings go away and I no longer can access those settings and im left with this: https://i.imgur.com/TVgJLQn.png
I've tried setting things to not use hardware acceleration mode, and that kind of works but is an annoying workaround, and many other people on the internet say that there just isn't really a fix for this which I find this very hard to believe. Am I really forced to just buy a 144hz monitor myself?
