High pitched whine back - EVGA GeForce GTX 750

I had this problem back in 2016, RMA the card and the new card had the same whine only not as loud. Went away after awhile and has been gone until last week when it came back. It's very, very annoying.

What I find very weird is if I move my mouse even a little bit, the whine goes away. As soon as I stop moving the mouse it comes back. As long as the mouse is moving, there is no whine.

I've been using the same Nvidia driver for quite awhile now. Tried newer ones and older ones, no difference. Even tried using DDU in Safe mode to completely uninstall the current Nvidia driver then install the latest availabel which was 419.67. Made no difference.

The card works perfectly, just this annoying whine.

I replaced the 280W power supply that came with my Lenovo K50 with a 500W KDM supply.

Looks like I need to replace the Nvidia card again. The 750 cost me $127 in 2015. I'm not a gamer, just want a decent video card. What should I be looking at?

The 10 series also has DirectX 12 which your older card does not.

PSUs can also cause coil whine by the way, not just the electronics and coils inside them, but can have an effect on GPUs, mainboards and CPUs aswell. But why are you using a KDM PSU? Get a proper 80+ certified power supply from a reputable brand. Trusting your components on a lesser known low tier power supply is a bad idea IMO, even if it's not for overclocking or gaming.

$$$ mostly. What would be a good PSU for the Lenovo K450 IdeaCenter.

The 1030 may be slightly less powerful than a 750, but not so you'd notice. It draws very little electrical power: 30W max. (The 750, 55W.)

I can get the 1050 from Amazon Prime for $129 or Newegg. I like that better than the 1030. See the 1030 from either for $89.

New GPU first then PSU if that doesn't fix it.

Right, my suggestion is based on that coil whine can be produced by the PSU aswell. No guarantee that changing it will fix it though, but it might if there's poor current from the unit to the components. Total wattage is not the only thing one should look up before purchasing a new power supply either. How much amp the +12v rail can direct, is it single or multiple rail, what capacitors is used, are they wrapped/glued, and the efficency rating is just as important if you ask me. PSUs are also most effective at 40-60% output, so it's good to give headroom to watt. Not that it should matter too much for you if you don't game or benchmark etc. But are you sure the noise comes from the graphics card? It can sometimes be hard to pinpoint noise without a DYI stethoscope, like a rolled-up paper, tube or a hose. Fan-bearings and mechanical hard-drives can give out weird noises too.

I would also recommend the 1050 over the 1030. As for what PSU you could try, I don't know what would fit in a K450, but here are a few suggestions from brands I'm most familiar with;
