    Nvidia Control Panel Missing

    Dear All,

I am trying to open Nvidia Control Panel but unfortunately I cant open it. I have tried searching for the application but I couldnt find it. I have already updated to my latest drivers. I still couldnt find anything. The card works fine but I cant change which graphics card to choose. The Control Panel Folder in Program Files/Nvidia is missing and I believe thats why it wont open. This is a GTX 1060 card running on a lenovo laptop.

Geforce Experience is working without any problems!

Do you have the DCH driver installed? You need to grab the controlpanel from the Microsoft Store if you do. If you don't then just DDU your driver in safe mode, plug out the ethernet/wireless connection and install the standard Nvidia driver manually. This will fix it. I can write or link you a step-by guide if you are unfamiliar with it.

I would imagine you have upset the install and/or Optimus functionality by doing unnecessary driver updates, or using third party uninstallers. Or problems with your right click menu on the desktop.

I would uninstall your Nvidia drivers and install the ones provided by Lenovo, or use the manufacturers recovery partition.

The Nvidia control panel is located here on mine
    C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Control Panel Client\nvcplui.exe
Double clicking on that gives you the Nvidia Control Panel.

I have only installed lenovo drivers to date. My Control Panel Client has no files located in it. I remember i using before but then I reset my PC and since then I cant find it anymore!

You may want to uninstall your driver. You can also perform a clean install using DDU. It should fix quirks like this.

Download the latest graphics driver from Lenovo
    Download DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller)

    Run Windows in safe mode
Disconnect your device from the network (important)
    Extract and run DDU
Choose Nvidia in the box and highlight your device
Click Clean and Restart (Highly recommended)

Once restarted back to normal mode make sure you're still disconnected to the network. If not then Windows will install a DCH driver for you automatically if you're on Windows 10 version 1809 and up. You don't want this if you have a standard driver-set.

Run your graphics driver and choose custom installation, check-mark the clean install box aswell. Here you may also want to choose GeForce experience to be installed if you want. Restart, see if everything is in place and connect back to the network.

I have done as instructed but I still am having the same problem. I had a previous laptop with Nvidia Card and copied its Control Panel from there. And it worked and upon checking, It showed I still had DCH drivers installed.

Have you checked the solution on Nvidia Support? I think they have shared each and every thing.

If you have the DCH version installed, you will need to download NVCPL from the Microsoft store.
