    How do I link my computer to TV using an HDMI cable?


    I have been advised to restart computer and then attach cable. That doesn't work. No does trying to change resolution. My computer is a Lenova Yoga Laptop. Before reinstalling and updating my operating system (I had a virus) I had no trouble using HDMI cable.

    I suggest going to Lenovo's support site then downloading & installing their latest display driver. The driver determines a lot of behaviour including such aspects as using external displays.

    After it is connected, press the windows key + p to bring up the projection menu.

Per the title, I run my computer through my TV using an HDMI cable. Sound works brilliantly on Windows 8.1 but after upgrading to Windows 10, I'm left without audio, and in the sound settings it doesn't show HDMI as an available device. Ideas?
