I think you will like it. I've got a Dell Inspiron I5676 with a Ryzen 7 2700x CPU. It has an OEM 4GB RX 580 card in it and I've been about 90% happy with it playing a lot of Far Cry 5. My upgrade is coming too! I'm swapping out the OEM 4GB RX 580 for this:
AMD Radeon RX 580 GTS Black Core Edition 8GB - RX-580P828D6

Then I'm upgrading an older desktop with the OEM card.

Hello and thanks for your reply, i have been a GeForce fan for years but will consider an AMD Card.
Do the research and go with a GeForce GTX 1080, 8 GB. Do not consider the 1080Ti.

If the price is still too high, consider a GeForce GTX 1070, 8 GB, instead.

The card in the link provided in post 11 is for £220. The least expensive GTX1070 from the same source is £270. The GTX1080, £467.

The GTX1060 would be close to the RX580 in both price and performance.

I admit that I've used both AMD and nVidia cards in the past. I've preferred nVidia's drivers.

The 1070 looks like a considerably better card than the RX 580. Whether it'd be worth the extra £50 to the OP, I'll leave up to the OP.

I like nVidia drivers better as well. I have a laptop computer with a GTX 1060 and it seems to do fine at 1920x1080 which is the laptop's native resolution. If you're running a 4k monitor and want the native resolution I'd probably scrape up the funds for a 1080 or at least a 1070, don't think a 1060 would cut it unless you run at 1920x1080.

I always buy at the higher end of the curve.

So the 8 GB 1070 (or 1080) would be the real way to go, IMHO.

Spend a bit more now and enjoy it longer...

P.S. I'm not an AMD fanboy.
