1920x1080 not available since major update this morning

My Windows 10 updated and now my monitor's native resolution 1920x1080 is no longer available. My monitor is now stuck at 1600x1200!

I had 1920x1080 before the update and now I have no way of returning it to 1920x1080! 1920x1080 is not even listed as a valid mode!

My display is now stretched because it has a 4:3 ratio on a 16:9 monitor!

    How do I fix this?

    I have a Dell Optiplex 780!

What was the specific update? A driver update? A cumulative update? A Features Update? Something else?

Look in 'Update & Security > Windows Update > View update history' to find out.

Check in Device Manager to see what driver is being used for your video card. It sounds like your using the basic driver. If it's the basic driver try updating it.

Did you try updating or downgrading the driver?

Yes I did. When I try to install it, it tells me that my computer does not meet the minimum requirements for the software

That GPU/laptop is not officially supported by Windows 10. You should have never upgraded to 10.

Dell computers tested for Windows 10 October 2018 Update and previous versions of Windows 10
