It was, probably, but with an each upgrade, MS drops support for discontinued products. You were lucky, it worked till now. The only option would be to rollback to the previous Windows 10 version.

When I did that, it rolled back to a 2005 driver and now I am stuck at 1024x768

It is because it did not install the proper monitor driver. http://downloads.dell.com/published/...iplex-780.html

The monitor E2211Hc is not listed there. And there is no video card category there. You gave me an incorrect link.

It is "Video". Monitor drive, just click on "Main Page" and choose Monitors & Projectors. Everything is there for what you need. It is a nine year old machine that was not expected to go beyond 7. Put the drivers on a USB stick and also bookmark ftp.dell.com.

I installed the monitor driver but 1920x1080 is still not available

It still does not even list 1920x1080 as a valid mode. It still only allows up to 1600x1200. 1920x1080 was available before the update.

Have you checked Intel's website? Native resolution can change in these cases and you may have to choose to allow those resolutions that Windows thinks that my have issues. The Windows 7 driver is the last that they came up with. I would probably look at getting a GPU card and ditch the onboard built into the APU/CPU. You can get a PCIe Video Card for under $30 for a refurb, or pay a bit more for a newer.
