Double check that tutorial. I've seen some people who had AHCI enabled but some of the procedures in that tutorial were not done: implementing those procedures took care of them.

However, why did you do a clean install when you did: were there problems back then?

Clean install was purely because of the fact that I noticed that I was on IDE and not AHCI.

    Install Windows 10 updates.

Update your graphics card driver. To update your drivers, you must first figure out which video card you have. Once you know your GPU, download the latest drivers from the company’s website, whether it is Intel, NVIDIA, or AMD.

Just about everything in the game settings, such as shadow quality and draw distance, can affect your FPS. If you’re not getting the performance you’d like, try lower some of the video settings.

Also, NVIDIA’s GeForce Experience and AMD’s Gaming Evolved clients will automatically optimize your game’s video settings based on your hardware.

Adjusting anti-aliasing can be particularly helpful for improving sub-par performance. Anti-aliasing smooths out lines around borders of objects to make them less pixelated, which can take a lot of hardware power. In your games settings, first try disabling anti-aliasing altogether and then slowly turning it up to the point that it works while still leaving you satisfied with your FPS.

The same sentiment goes for most other graphics settings, including draw distance and shadows. Lighting effects, including shadows, tend to be real performance drains, so if you can live with basic effects, you can make the difference between a game being unplayable and playable.

1)In windows 10 u dont need to format windows to change from ide to ahci.
2)U had better to install the latest driver for the ich10r ahci driver that is compatible with windows 10.
    The driver is here:

go there: Latest/best Intel RST(e) drivers from the v11 platform: and download the 64 bit driver and install it from device manager
    the version is 11.7.4.1001

3)if u are interested there exist a modded bios for your motherboard here:

It has updated all roms and updated micro codes for spectre.
    4) after the format the cache folder from your gpu card is deleted if u play direct x11 games after some time the cache files will be recreated and the game the next u gonna play will be smoother.

All your actions is your responsibility! If u are a starter user don't update your bios.

It looks like you may have already tried this but you can go to Drivers | GeForce and have it Auto Detect Your GPU.
--- I see a tab for GEFORCE EXPERIENCE, maybe that would be helpful to look into.

But I would also consider the following if that or boombastiks aren’t successful: I believe it’s possible the fresh install most likely to 1809 can be the culprit from the prior Win10 version you had.

If your still stuck after the above, see if you can do a chat or community discussion about what’s going on.

What is the 1809 referencing to? I am lost.
