Install both Amd (for graphics) and Nvidia (for compute) gpu

Receiving soon the components for my new PC I will use the disk with Win10 installation from the old PC.
Interested to know if it's possible also to use my old AMD gpu for the graphics (drivers are already installed in the boot disk I will shift from the old and soon unused PC) and install also the new Nvidia card to be used only for CUDA compute activities.

You can use as many GPU cards as you want, as long as you have the slots available.

Sure if I install all Nvidia cards or all Amd cards.
Mixing them appear to be not trivial, I didnt find a single guide for doing it on Windows 10 (on the contrary I find it for Linux)

No problem mixing them. You would just have to make sure that the GPU's are close to each other, so that you do not run into any issues.

Plenty of guides that compare GPU's out there. Here is one such chart. All2

Just to let know I was easier than expected to make them work.
Installed first the AMD card in the primary x16 slot, boot update drivers and shutdown.
Installed Nvidia card on x8 slot, boot and the system simply work without any problem on the primary card.
If I want to use the Nvidia card I simply need to boot on the primary AMD one, and next switch my HDMI connector from the AMD to the Nvidia and voilą I'm using the Nvidia card.
