AMD 18.12.3 update and game advisor

    Hey all,

I need some major help here. I can't seem to be able to get the game advisor thing to work correctly, it just goes duh. Another issue I'm having is the updater, click on check for updates and it says it can't connect to the AMD server. It's been doing this in older versions too for some reason. I have another computer with an older version of AMD and it can check for updates.

On the computer with the issue sometimes the settings will crash. Fault module name is called Qt5Quick.dll

    Things I have tried.

    Looked through registry
check firewall even turning it off doesn't fix it.
tried older versions of AMD, clean install and all that.
stood on my head for an hour
did a file scan and "help" articles in AMD's knowledge base
AMD link seems to be ok

I hope it's not an issue but I'm on Win 7 64 but it seems to be more active here for AMD drivers then on the 7 forums and that's why I'm posting here. I hope it's not to much of an issue.

    Thanks for the help.

This version is giving me problems too. I updated from 18.12.2 to 18.12.3 and Update advisor is telling me that there's an "update" to 18.12.2 !!!! When I do that, it tells me to update to 18.12.3. Crazy or what ?

I even run DDU and cleaned up old drivers and still same thing. Grrrrrrrr.
Which exact GPU do you have ?

    Morning!

I have seen that on AMD's site. I don't even get that part. I just have the currently installed square and the update square. I have also tried the DDU with no luck.

Do you have this under the software button under system?

I kept mine at 18.12.2 don't want to run in circles with drivers. Also disabled notifications about updates.

ok. The thing is you're able to connect to their server. For whatever reason on this computer I can't. The computer two feet away can. I wonder what the ip to it is and see if I can ping it.

Yep that works for whatever reason LOL. It's just the updater and the game explorer not working.

I'm still not having any luck with this. Is the upgrade advisor working for you?
