Strange the Brightness control is missing in Windows settings with that Nvidia built in Card. I have Intel HD integrated graphics and it is present.

I guess you will have to wait until a future Windows 10 update. Unfortunately a more rare hardware arrangement is last to be fixed.
No idea about fixing that, the inner workings of Windows.
The brightness control was missing from the very beginning when I purchased the computer. Talked to HP and they suggested using HP My Display. It worked until new Windows 10 update when the reset issue came up. At first I did not notice it because I don't turn off the computer , just put it to sleep for the night.

After I replaced the HDD with SSD recently, I began to shut down computer for the night due to much fast boot up time. Then I notice the problem . Its quite irritating.

Can you suggest some workaround 3rd party software?
I am not talking about third party software.

Any other way besides adjusting the settings directly from the Intel graphics card ? I am current using the Intel graphics card by default unless needed by the program then it switches to the Nvidia card.

It should not switch between the two chipsets. This is the OSD part that is missing. It should work, even though it is for 8.1 x64. Driver - HP ENVY Recline 23-k011 TouchSmart All-in-One Desktop PC | HP® Customer Support All-in-one computers are more of a PITA to diagnose.

It seems to be working fine. A week ago forced the computer to use Nvidia card for certain applications and it did. Since then I reverted back to Intel graphics card as the global preferred card . Not much difference to me as I dont use graphic intensive applications .
