    Laptop to TV Connection

I have attempted to connect my Lenovo Laptop HDMI port to a Sharp Aquos HD TV's HDMI Port. I would like to be able to view Video's from my Laptop on the Sharp HD TV. I have tried selecting multiple HDMI Video inputs thru the input select function on the TV's remote control. So far I am not seeing any video or hearing any audio on the TV when playing back a video from my Laptop Computer.

Does anyone know how I can resolve this issue? Thanks!

Windows key + P will bring up the projection side bar. You can select the second monitor mode there.

It turned out to be Dust causing problem. I blew out the dust on all of the I/O interfaces on both my TV and the Laptop, also sprayed with Electronic Contact Cleaner, reconnected the HDMI Cable and Windows 10 is now recognizing the TV and I can now view Content from my Laptop on the HD TV.

One other issue I have is can the Video appearing on the Laptop be disabled or turned off while I am viewing on the TV? I'd rather have video on one and not two devices. Is there a way to disable the Laptop Video while it also appears on the TV?

You need to set them to extended mode instead of clone mode. Part 2 here,
