One monitor brighter than the other one?

Since a few days I have a dual-screen setup but one thing is bugging me: The left (LG Flatron W2261VP) is BRIGHTER than my older right monitor (IIYAMA) and it's very noticable on the taskbar. I now have a brown taskbar and one bar is SIGNIFICALLY brighter than the other one)

How can I adjust the colours so one monitor matches the other one? Cause one is now 'bleaker' than the other.

Also you might want to adjust using both your monitors settings and the settings in Nvidia Control Panel.

Two different monitors side by side are going to have issues of not being the same, even when you try to calibrate them.

It's impossible to match two screens from different monitor Manufacturers/Panel Technologies as far as colour goes.
The basics like brightness, contrast can be roughly matched by calibrating each one separately, but that's as far as you can get. e.g. Using either or both the procedures outlined in post #2.

You would need two identical monitors with identical panels/technologies to get any sort of colour match.
