ati radeon hd 5000 series stopped working after update to w10

    Hi,

after updating to windows 10 from w7, my ati mobility radeon hd 5000 series stopped working because of an error code 43. The 4200 series works just fine. Updating the drivers doesn't solve the problem, but i can install them manually like this: https://yadi.sk/d/qSs_D7tGiENVh. However, the configuration is lost at reboot and i still have problems reproducing videos, so i don't know if doing that is making the system use that graphic card.

Is there a fix to this? and there is a way to do what i did through only dos commands?

Hi, i had the same issue. I withdrew the drivers of the hd5000 and let windows install a new one. Then Windows may has installed some microsoft driver, i don't remember exactly. Finally, i got some last amd driver all the same.

    Edit:

    Thanks to
NavyLCDR here is official link : Legacy

I installed the 13.4 bêta one. I hope this screenshot will help you, here you can get the version of drivers ("pilote" in french), and version of amd catalyst i use :

    (end of edit ^^ )

Actually, as i see your screenshots, you try to install15.200.1062.1002 instead of 15.200.1046.2... and yes, i had the same code 43. The only way i found is to put 15.200.1046.2. I assume these two version has been release on 15th july 2015 as i read it, so the 15.200.1046.2 may also be a lastest driver and even the right one for us. The 15.200.1046.2 is the same number as for the HD 4200, i assume the HD 5000 divers number 15.200.1046.2 is made to has compatibility etc with the hd 4200. Well, this works for me as you can see.

(All the same, i feel that graphics are not good as before (i had win7) with windows 10. I have some video lags now, with fullscreen above all. Now i can't look 720p60fps as well on youtube or play some mkv that works before. My pc never has been very good for graphic of course but i really feel it worked better before. I don't know where the issue come from exactly, since i updated and repair everything i could... I wonder if other people have the same issue too, and i hope we can solve that without go back on win7 etc. ^^ )
