There is some sort of issue on 1803. My brightness can change to 50% seemingly at random, very irritating for my screen normally at 85%.

I know where the adaptive brightness settings were(2 places), and disabled those, one of which has gone in the Power Options Power Plan settings in 1809.

I'm using Intel HD graphics. The Control Panel of that has an adaptive brightness setting which is disabled.
Windows changes that by itself...great...I save and use my Intel HD graphics profile so it's not me changing it.
    It still happens.....about 10 mins ago...random.

I keep having to select that saved Profile.
Gone backwards and forwards with Intel HD drivers but it is still there. It is not an HP/Dell machine either.
Indeed, send it to the Feedback.

I am now on 17763.104, no issue with brightness, after 3 reboots.

    See post #15 here:

Brightness at 50% every reboot after October 2018 Update

Temporary workaround but it works fine.

It's not just a Dell/HP problem, my Asus laptop also randomly reverts back to 50% brightness since the 1809 update.

Yeah, My Lenovo also reverts to 50% brightness but I just learned to live with it. I usually just put it to sleep instead of shutting down so it doesn't aggravate me. LOL

i found a work around...services....disable display enhancement service.....but the only thing this will keep your pc at 100% brightness all the time....i wonder where i can go in the registry to fix this...another thing i noticed is usually when im using battery i have a certain brightness and full for when its plugged in, these options are gone.....
