    Getting No Display

I had my HD TV (monitor) connected via my graphics card. I removed the HDMI cable from the graphics card and plugged it into my motherboard instead.

This is because a video editing software program I use, Resolve, apparently uses the on-board GPU if the display port from the nVidia card is used. Instead, I want the display to go through the motherboard, allowing the GPU to do the processing.

But now, after plugging the HDMI cable into the motherboard, I get no signal. An empty display.

Any ideas why? Do I need to change a default display setting to on-board? I dig turn off then on the monitor and computer, but no change.

    Thanks.

I don't get the last sentence, but have you tried changing the display output (it may be called primary graphics adapter) to "on-board" instead of external in the BIOS/UEFI settings. Note that on some motherboards the setting can be switched between on-board, external, and auto. You just need to try auto if there is such an option otherwise try on-board.

I believe that you'll need to set the graphics device to internal in the BIOS. Typically, if there's a PCI-E graphics card present, the output will default to that.

I don't think that that MB allows IGPU and discrete GPU to work at same time. You have to either disable IGPU/(PCIe) in BIOS or to remove discrete GPU.
