Nvidia drivers and the Windows 10 October 2018 Update
Don't forget to uninstall and reinstall your Nvidia drivers after updating to the Windows 10 October 2018 update.
After the update it appears the Nvidia drivers are installed properly, however they are not fully installed. The Nvidia driver entry is missing from the Program and Features section of Windows 10 and if run the program GPU-Z you will notice that OpenCL is no longer enabled. I always use DDU in safe mode to uninstall the old driver. After reinstalling the Nvidia drivers everything is back to normal.

Not on mine, OpenCL was enabled in both the Integrated Intel HD, and Nvidia graphics. I have never used DDU for 16 years of having Nvidia Graphics Cards.
They are missing in Programs & Features, but then many are now not in there.

I too just automaticity reinstall Nvidia drivers for my Gaming notebook, I haven't on either of my desktops they seem to do fine on the native Windows Drivers
-
Nvidia drivers for 1809 were not available for the release but they are now. I installed from the Nvidia site after I did the 1809 update. All is just fine

Why I cannot install the latest Nvidia for 1809 using DDU in Safe Mode? The installation just stop near the end of the process with the old drivers still there. This also happens when I use IOBit Uninstaller.
What's the problem?

It's not imperative to have to uninstall the old drivers with DDU when installing new drivers. I just install the new ones using the custom installation along with checking "Perform clean install " and all is always fine. Just a thought !
