    GeForce Experience Not Working

I've had my PC for only a short while, and occasionally I have alerts from Nvidia saying that there are new drivers available, but when I click on it to install them it comes up with a message saying "Something went wrong, try restarting Ge Force Experience", does anyone know why it is deciding to do this? I've tried to reinstall the program but still no luck.

    Try the usual:
    Restart the PC.
    Cold boot the PC.
Uninstall GeForce experience with Revo Uninstaller: https://www.revouninstaller.com/revo..._download.html which will remove the program & any leftovers, then reinstall a fresh/new version:

I had the same thing happen to me earlier this week (we've had two GeForce driver updates this week, just got another one this morning). Immediately, I tried again and got that same error message. So I did what the admirable @Bastet suggested: uninstalled GeForce Experience using Revo Installer, then downloaded and reinstalled the latest GeForce Experience version (3.15.0.164 according to its About info). No problems since then. Thus, I can only endorse Bastet's excellent advice, and suggest you follow it at your earliest convenience.

I have installed and run the programme Revo Installer, and then downloaded the current version of GeForce experience, but I still have the same problem, sometimes it can take a while before the programme even loads before telling me the same error message.

    Interesting!

It's really sad that Nvidia does not have a real Removal Tool.

IMHO, Nvidia and AMD have lousy installers that leave plenty of garbage around.
What I do after the uninstall is use ccleaner.

After two or three runs, I venture into regedit and clean as much as possible form there and reboot.
    Then I update the drivers.

    FWIW.

I have CCleaner on my PC so I will uninstall GeForce again using Revo and then run a deep cleaner using CCleaner, if I still have no luck is there a way I can manually search for the latest updates and download and install them?

You can also try DDU to remove all traces of Nvidia drivers before reinstalling. New version just out yesterday. Grab it from the download page at Wagnardsoft.com.

I have now solved it, I uninstalled Ge Force again, and run CCleaner, restarted the PC, and went on the Nvidia Website and downloaded the latest driver which was bundled with Ge Force experience, I then chose Advanced Install and went for the Clean Installation, and it worked. Hopefully it should continue to work as it should.
