Hooked up PC to Sharp Aquos TV (through HDMI), resolution too large
When I connected my computer to my TV (again, a Sharp Aquos) and I turned on my TV, the screen resolution is too large. I thought I could just change the resolution through my main monitor, but none of them fit. Right now when I look at my TV, the toolbar is half shown, meaning only the top half. I also cannot see the time/date. However, the resolution on my monitor is fine. I already looked this up and the closest I got to finding an answer was that in the TV settings, there should be a toggle for something like overscan/pixel perfect/ 1:1. My TV is from '09, so it has nothing of the sort. And that's when I found this website, so I hope I'm going to get an answer here.

Perhaps the graphics card controller software will allow you to adjust the size on the TV.
I don't have two monitors so I don't know if you can individually adjust them.

Hello Equal2, i think the problem is that the Aspect Ratio on your Tv is not set correctly.
( i have mine set to Just Scan on my tv, )

Do you mind posting what model ur tv is ?

Let your TV automatically scan the aspect ratio.

I don't have any problems with the resoluution on my PS4 though. Or Xbox One. It only happens with my PC.
And my TV doesn't have any aspect ratio settings. I'll take a picture of it when I get home, currently at high school rn.

You can just simply set the aspect ratio to auto then set the highest resolution that you monitor can support from your computer.
