Booting into safe mode isn't a problem - I've had to do that repeatedly to run DDU.

downloaded the zip you specified. Extracted all files and folders to a folder.

    Followed the pictures.

Double-clicked on log-collector. Told it to run. It opened a command window, sat like a stump for several seconds, momentarily flashed SOMETHING in red that started with (I think) "processing", then closed.

I never got the screen with the 10 forums thing, and never got the hit return. And don't appear to have generated any files.

For 3, I presume you mean to remove the drivers for the nvidia gpu? I've tried that in the past, but can do it again. Last time, the box just kept dumping to the black screen. I'll try again.

    1) There are two log collectors: DM and BETA
The beta log collector collects more useful logs.
See if you can run both and post zips into this thread:
    BSOD - Posting Instructions

    2) Computer configurations vary widely and in some the GPU hardware can be removed and the motherboard is able to support the graphics. If you can remove the hardware then evaluate the computer.

    3) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    4) sfc /scannow
    5) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    6) chkdsk /scan
    7) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

Um, lets NOT do number "3" again......................

I uninstalled all the nVidia drivers, and rebooted. Got dumped to the (my secondary) monitor, at 1024x768 and it didn't even detect my primary.... I KNOW it appears backward, but it turns out the 30" primary monitor is displayport, and the older, secondary monitor ISN'T. It appears from previous conversations with EVGA/nVidia that the graphics card ALWAYS used the vga or dvi or whatever ISN'T displayport FIRST. At least that's what they told me.

So, any time I boot or have to go into the BIOS, it uses it's primary, but MY secondary monitor.

AND, when I reinstalled the nVidia drivers that are "SUPPOSED" to work, it dumped to the black screen RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INSTALLATION.

I'm up and running, and both monitors are on, but where I USUALLY have about 5 entries (NOT including the Geforce experience, which I"ve been told to NEVER turn on), I now have TWO. Nvidia Graphics Driver 378.78 and Nvidia HD audio driver 1.3.34.23... But, at least it's running for the moment.

    ------------

This is an Asus X99-Deluxe motherboard. As far as I know, it has NO onboard graphics capability.

I'll try to get your log collector to run, but as far as I know, I have the "beta" one since I downloaded the one you specified previously. The zip file was log collector v2-beta15. So far, in safe mode, I get a command screen, it sits, and after several seconds it closes. No display as shown in the other topic you pointed me at. No option to "Press return"...

I'll run the sfc and dism and chkdsk and see what i get...

Most threads are able to run the DM log collector.
    BSOD - Posting Instructions

If you are unable to run each log collector please post that into the thread.

Here's the sfc, dism, chkdsk output... It doesn't look interesting to me, but I may be missing something.

    The above results were fine.
The logs may have useful information.

I got the DM version to run. The BSOD instructions say post there, but this isn't a BSOD, so HOPEFULLY, it actually attached here.

I'll try the beta one again, but so far every time I run it, I just get the blank command window, then a line of red text that flashes past too fast to red, then it closes.

Hopefully, there will be something interesting (or possible stupid that I did) in the zip file...

BTW: SO FAR, since having it only install 1 graphics driver, it's stayed up. That doesn't mean it won't dump to the black screen any second, but...

A week or more of logs would be useful for the troubleshooting.
Run this updated version to see if works in the computer environment.

You sure your PSU aint giving up slowly? GTX 970 here without any problems. 1803 also.

Also NVIDIA drivers will cause blackouts while installing drivers, but guess that wasnt the case.
