Please update the progress with the steps in post #22.
Sometime this weekend run the BETA log collector and post a zip into this thread:
    https://www.tenforums.com/attachment...-v2-beta15.zip
    (extract > open)
    Software can be removed.
For any drivers before uninstalling then you can rename the files to .old and if there is a problem the driver remains available for use.

    Box is still running.

Takes a while to copy several TB of stuff. I can't imagine trying to do this from the cloud........

Anyhow, the only recent error I'm seeing (at the moment) is the IAStorDataMgrSve.exe crashed a couple times. Since I'm not running RAID any more, WHY do I need the Intel Rapid Storage stuff? I've read it makes "normal" systems faster and it doesn't do a THING for normal systems. And that you get absolutely NO gain using instead of the regular MS SATA drivers...

So, DO I want this software running or do I get rid of it and replace it with a MS or some other "normal" SATA driver?
    Hi,
It's the chipset driver so yeah you should be using it :)

Did you ever find a solution to this problem ?
I have had the same thing for the last week, and I have tried everything that I can think of, including:

    - reinstalling clean Nvidia drivers. (DDU)
    - unplugging all non-required usb connectors.
    - re-installed Viveport, Steam and Steam VR, which seems to cause the problem immediately if started.
    - Checked for malware / virus - and afterwards disabling AV for Steam/VIVE folders. As well as uninstalled AV.
    - Restored computer to earlier state where there was earlier no problem. Problem still there.
    - Re-installed windows 10, multiple times
    - Updated bios on Motherboard
    - Verfied no newer vBios was available for GFX card.
    - Re-seating the GFX
    - Tried with other RAM blocks
    - Tried with another identical graphic card.
    - Tried with other wires / connectors
    - Tried other USB ports for the Vives.
-Tried the old Vive = same problem.
    - Tried bringing my old vive to a friend, and test on his system, which works fine it seems.

I cannot use VR because of this, and now it has also crashed in the same way with me just using Office for my final thesis that I am writing...

If anyone have a solution to this problem, please update us :-D

Tried the test, and it said that my firmware was already up to date. :-(
Thank you for the suggestion though. appreciate it.

When you get a black screen, use these keys:
    win+ctrl+shift+b
This will reset your graphic drivers and might help to prove it is an nvidea problem.A common fault with nvidea is "nvlddmkm.sys" and can be found in Reliability History.
When using DDU it is important to only use SAFE MODE,because MS generic drivers are the only ones in use.
If the problems never occur in SAFE MODE then it is an nvidea driver and/or a timeout fault.Comprehensive info on TDR[timeout] can be found on the nvidea site and web.

IAstor is Intel's Raid driver. But, it also contains, and is the only way to get, Intel's AHCI driver. While there are mixed opinions, most say it gives better performance than the Microsoft AHCI driver. However, it is not necessary and for some reason gives some people fits. Others, have no problems with it.

IAstor is not the chipset driver, it is the Raid/AHCI driver. Asus has a Chipset driver which is completely different than IAstor.

As I believe has been previously stated, BIOS version 2101 is the last BIOS update for your Haswell-E CPU. All updates after 2101 are for Broadwell-E CPUs. I understand that has caused some Haswell owners problems. I had that same board as you until 2 weeks ago. I only updated to 2101 for that very reason.
