Lenovo Laptop Has Two Display Adapters?

Is this normal? Device Manager lists an R4 and an R5 M330.

I'm experiencing issues with capture software, was told to update my drivers and discovered this.

G50-45 ?? The R4 is the Integrated GPU on your A8 APU and the R5 is a Discrete GPU.

I'm not sure I understood any of that.

Its quit common for a laptop to have an APU and GPU. My ASUS laptop has an AMD A10 APU, its a CPU GPU on the one DIE. It also has a dedicated GPU on the motherboard. Its called switchable graphics. It can switch back and forth between the two on the fly without me even noticing. It basically has an AMD Radeon HD 7660G and a 7670M. I can override the auto action and specify which Video chip is used for what program. I can't remember what the utility is called at the moment, brain fart and I'm on my desktop PC. I would imagine you can do that same. You just have to find the utility on your system that controls it.

I meant to mention, that for me, mine both being AMD makes life easy driver wise. I can go right to AMD to get it and it works. If you have a miss match like Intel and NVidia, installing two separate drivers may not work out well. The switchable part may not work as intended. In that instance, if you get your driver from the manufacturer you will likely have less issues and it will "just work". Kind of depends on how old your laptop is and if the OEM has a Windows 10 driver.
At present I'm just using the Windows update supplied driver and my switchable graphics works just fine. As far as I know anyway, no error massages and the utility to manually configure it was installed. I don't game on my laptop so I'm not in any hurry to looking for the latest and greatest.

I have Intel and Nvidia graphics(Optimus) here and there is not a problem at all.

There are problems in that users don't know what hardware they have bought, or how it functions.

There are two Graphics drivers, one for GPU on the CPU die and another for the other GPU graphics chipset.

Then when something comes up some gamer with a Desktop with a separate Graphics Card says things that do not apply to Laptops with dual graphics.
Thus there is a string of confused posts about "problems", updating graphics drivers forcibly when it's not required.

If you use multiple monitors or use the notebook battery a lot then it is advantageous to use the Optimus technology.
Optimus technology reduces battery consumption when using iGPU and having both iGPU and dGPU allows the use of more external monitors.
If you use the notebook as desktop replacement then you could use the dGPU which has more video memory and likely better performance.
There are settings in the Nvidia control panel. Also some computers have a BIOS setting that can override software.
This is an example of Dell:

    Totally agree.

I will say that Windows 10 is a lot better at figuring out what's there and getting it working these days. Not so much when it was first released. I had all kinds of graphics glitches etc early on, even though mine is AMD AMD.
