    MSI Afterburner

    Hello
    Just bought a laptop with a GTX 1050 2GB.
I am interested in trying to get the most out of my card. I understand overclocking will get the best results.
I managed to get a +200 MHZ on core clock and a +250MHZ on memory clock.
Is this good and is there any more I can do to get better performance?

Such applications are meant for Desktops with Graphic Cards with good cooling, not Laptops.

It's all a waste of time on a Laptop, doubt if you can even measure the difference. The Laptop will just run hotter and probably clock down to stop overheating. May as a whole be counter productive as in reducing performance.

I agree with Helmut. It is not advisable to overclock a laptop -- ever.

    Hi,
Moto is if you can't afford to replace it = don't oc it
    Otherwise have fun with it
I would use a utility to monitor the temps
realtemp/ intel or coretemp intel or amd are good ways to see on the taskbar what temps are / core temps anyway :)
    Download Core Temp - MajorGeeks

    Download Real Temp | TechPowerUp

Of course msi afterburner will show the gpu temp curves history

If you want to know how you're doing you'd need to run some benchmarks stock and oc'ed
