Intel HD Graphics 4600 Integrated stopped working during PC use

Hello everyone and anyone, this morning I was playing WOW when all of a sudden my desktop shut down. It tried to restart itself several times but would just keep restarting, all the while the screen stayed black nothing nada just black. So, I left it alone for a couple of hours, (this has never happened before) when I came back I turned on the unit and seemed like everything was fine only one thing, still black screen.I manually shut it down and unplugged everything, I then plugged it into a different monitor and still black screen. So, I was all out of suggestions when I remembered I can run a duel monitor from this PC, so instead of plugging in to the VGA Port I plugged into the HDMI Port from the back of the tower, and wouldn't you know it? It worked! So, what is wrong with my rig? Has the VGA Port gone bad? I have never heard of that happening. Anyway These are the spec to my Rig...Lenovo ThinkCentre Model# 002KUS INTEL CORE i5-4570s 2.90 GHz Graphics card...INTEL HD Graphics 4600 I will provide more info if needed. By the way after i plugged into the HDMI I quickly checked for driver updates. all drivers have been up-dated.

Run the BETA log collector and post a zip into this thread:

    (extract > open)
Use the text and images in this thread in case there are any problems running the beta log collector: (post #5)

When I open the collector file a cmd in (Red Font) window opens briefly and nothing else seems to happen. What exactly should I be doing?

No need for all that kerfuffle.
What basically happened is you interrupted Windows updates for the HD 4600 Graphics driver update.
During the process you do experience black screens for a while as it is going on.

You should also go to Windows update settings and Change Active hours to suit so you won't be rudely interrupted again. Probably you will need the Advanced options as well whilst you are in that area.

What is your version number of the HD 4600 driver, I have HD 4600 graphics and here it updated a week ago.

    Were you able to extract?
    Then open?

The older log collector is the DM log collector.
At some time it will be replaced by the BETA log collector.
The DM log collector should easily work on the computer.

The beta log collector should work too. It may take a few extra steps.
If you can run the BETA log collector it collects many more useful files.

That looks OK. You can look in the Events Tab in the driver properties click on the last item, it should end in status: 0x0.
Mine actually went from 4549 > 4963. Hopping over a number of versions.

I would run the Windows update troubleshooter as a precautionary measure. That is on the Windows update LH menu.
    Look in the Reliability History.
