Uninstall RADEON driver - increased performance in 2D GDI.

This is not a joke - it works so badly AMD driver.
Rendering time with Radeon driver is 140 ms and without driver 20 ms.
Software rendering of Windows faster, than "hardware" acceleration from AMD.

You should report this to AMD somehow.

AMD know about this problem, but unfortunately, do nothing.

That must be something with older cards, tried that with my Rx 460 and performance without drivers was less than 50%.

    Two things,

    1. Stop trying to run a video benchmark at the same time as something else that is using the same resources (foobar and that 2D test).

    2. In case anyone missed it, this is all happening on Windows 7 for him, and not Windows 10.

Oh and amdmatt already told you the answer,

Re: Fall of the FPS 10-50 times after the driver installation (WITH VIDEO DEMONSTRATION)

amdmatt Jul 20, 2018 7:06 AM (in response to radeongamer) We setup a test system running Windows 7 with Catalyst 15.7.1.to investigate your report.

During testing we discovered that the foobar2000 application runs fine in Windows Classic mode on its own until the 2d benchmark is launched, at which point the visualization became choppy.

In order to rule out the 15.7.1 driver as the cause, we also installed the Radeon Omega 14.12 driver and experienced the same behavior.

In both situations, (with and without the 2D benchmark running) the visualization runs normally if Aero mode is enabled.

    Therefore, we recommend that you:

    a) Enable Aero mode

    or

    b) Do not run the benchmark while using other 2d applications

And amdmatt already told you what to do.

And after reading most of this thread,

Low 2D performance in classic theme Windows 7 | Community

it seems that you have ZERO interest in doing or trying any of the suggestions put forth by quite a few people. You have to realize that Windows 7 is soon to go "end of life", and that next to no one is actively developing anything for it anymore (including Microsoft, that is only releasing security updates).
