    GT640 Unable to be recognized by this version of windows ?


    so ive done the upgrade to windows 10 however I'm having driver problems now..

    I'm unable to install the latest 353.62 Nvidia driver.. I run it no problem but then it appears with I'm unable to install the driver due to an incompatible version of this windows.

    any help would be fantastic.

    Are you trying to upgrade through Nvidia Geforce experience or through Windows update?

    wow okey.. took almost a day to get a reply! dam..

    erm no i downloaded the required driver for my card off geforce.com/drivers

    then i installed geforce experiance and it all ready tells me that im up to date on my drivers.. i presume when you upgrade to windows 10 now, it will auto download and install in the background for you the current nvidia win10 driver

    Not sure about windows 10 auto installing drivers for everyone, but it did for me. If Geforce experience says you have the latest drivers, then you do. It should be version 353.62, just to double check.

    Also, it seems a lot of people are having issues with the 600 series Nvidia cards.

    I have a GT 650 and have had no trouble. Just be sure you're installing the WIndows 10 specific version.

    Hi,

    I have the same graphic card and noticed I couldn't run the installer from nvidia site. I was able to finally get the drivers to install by running all the updates in windows first (Nvidia gt 640) failed.. but when I tried again I noticed you have the option to do a clean install from the nvidia version 353.62. I checked that box and it worked perfectly. My guess the windows 7 previous installer is causing the issue.

    on ebay
    and i try to play games it keeps crashing

    im going to try downgrading to windows 7 and ill let you know how it goes

    i dont think this card is compatibale with windows 10

    The GT 650 is very compatible. Did you make sure to install the latest Windows 10 drivers for it?

    Also, since you bought It on Ebay, unless it was new in box, you can't be sure if it wasn't already damaged (and that's why they're selling it)
