Monitor Not Waking Up After Sleep

I am experiencing a critical issue - when my computer goes into sleep mode, or if I manually place it in sleep mode, the monitor will not wake. The PC is running; I can hear the fan and the light on the front of the monitor is on, but the monitor itself will not wake. The only way I can get the computer back on is to do a hard reset by holding in the power button, turning it off, then back on. I've tried all the obvious fixes; windows updates, graphic card driver updates, unplugging, turning off sleep mode, turning off Link State Power Management ,making sure the keyboard or the mouse are able to wake the computer in settings, etc. Nothing so far has worked. Any suggestions on how to fix or what the problem may be?
An additional problem is that I cannot even save some new settings in my motherboard. Somehow the settings return to the default settings and the problem remains. The PC purchased brand new almost 4 months ago.

    CPU Intel Core i5 8600k 3.60GHz
Graphic Card (integrated): Intel ® UHD Graphics 630
    Motherboard: Gigabyte Z370 HD3
    OS: WINDOWS 64 BIT

Could you please provide any suggestion?

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards,
      My Computer

Good morning @Stavros & welcome to the Forums. This may not work for you, but it did for me last year. Following one of the major updates this machine did the exact same thing. After hours of trying various things, I uninstalled the Video Driver that was installed with the update and reinstalled the previous version. Everything has worked properly since.

Good luck, and have a good weekend.

I've experienced this from time to time on various Windows 10 computers.
The computer wakes, but the monitor doesn't.

I've tried changing monitors, new power supply units, new graphics cards with clean drivers, but still the problem intermittently exists on most of my Windows 10 computers. I have to restart the computer to wake up the monitor.

A lot of people seem to have the problem, if you do a search.

I have read that Windows key + Ctrl + Shift + B on your keyboard will wake it. But it has never worked for me.

PS: I really do not believe that this thread belongs in the "Graphics Card" section.
I've tested and excluded both NVIDIA and AMD cards. I think it has to be a Windows 10 issue.

Signed into my account for the first time in forEVER just to say that thanks, this did it. I really don't know what caused it to start happening. I just started noticing that when my computer would go to sleep, monitor #2, connected via HDMI, wouldn't wake when I woke the computer. Monitor #1, connected via VGA had no problem.

Reseating the HDMI cable would work but that would cause all windows and open applications to go to monitor #1. I didn't want that but was willing to do that if it saved me from having to reboot multiple times a day. I finally got annoyed enough to really dig for an answer. This did it. Apparently "Windows key + Ctrl + Shift + B" causes the graphics drivers to restart. Whatever it is, it's working for me now.

It has worked for me on laptops, but it hasn't worked for me on desktop computers with USB keyboards. Maybe it doesn't receive the signal.

It works on my desktop, using logitech wireless keyboard/mouse -> usb. NOTE, I sometimes have to do it a few times, not sure if the sequence that I hit the keys matters or what. On my machine, wait until I hear a little beep to indicate that the input has been 'accepted'. Good luck, friends!
