Onboard graphics not working after windows update

I use my onboard graphics for a second monitor. After updating windows, it no longer works. I have tried swapping the monitors out and both work fine when plugged into the GPU, but when plugged into the onboard, neither is detected. I tried checking the bios to make sure that it didn't somehow get disabled and it is clearly enabled. The Intel HD Graphics 630 is clearly visible in Device Manger as well, and all drivers are up to date. I'm not sure why windows now can't detect any monitor plugged in there.

You can try to install video driver from Intel site instead that provided by MS.

I already tried that. It did not change anything.

It's been my experience that plugging in an Add-in Video card has automatically disabled the onboard adapter, removing the card was necessary to get the built-in back. But then it's possible the BIOS on some motherboards allow the feature of using both, probably would need the drivers for the board in question.

That was the case for mine. When I first added the second monitor, I had to enable it from the BIOS. It worked fine until the new Windows 10 update. I went into the BIOS to ensure that it was still enabled (it was), and tried disabling it and re-enabling it as well, all to no effect.

I have absolutely no clue how, but my second screen is finally working again. Tried re-installing the driver multiple times, tried uninstalling the onboard graphics altogether and reinstalling, and after finally re-installing the driver for probably the third time, it's working just fine. I don't understand it, but I'm glad it's fixed.
