How to remove unwanted driver which is waiting to be installed

I discovered the the Intel HD 3000 driver which W10 was using did not work, so a found one that did. Today, I noticed that W10 had downloaded the bad driver and was waiting to install it again. I used the group policy editor to block driver updates, and the download driver did not install on restart. Now the bad driver download is still there, waiting to be installed, and I'd like to delete it from the download area even though it will never install.

How to do that.

Computer is Asus K73E, and OS is Win 10 Pro.

Apparently, W10 does this housekeeping automatically if you wait for the next update cycle. The unwanted but downloaded driver is gone and I still have the correct (older) driver.

To uninstall drivers you can use:

device manager > uninstall drivers
control panel > uninstall software which uninstalls drivers
DDU (Display Driver Unistaller) > uninstalls graphic drivers

That was not my question. The question was how to delete a driver which was waiting to be installed, but not yet installed. It appears that Windows does this automatically if the driver in question has been blocked from being installed.

It is the driver for Intel HD Graphics 3000. I was wrong about Windows removing the downloaded driver. It's still there but nothing is done with it since I've blocked any new driver installs by Windows. I'm not at home right now, so I can't give any specifics on the driver, but I can get them later if needed.

I ultimately resolved this issue by downloading and running wushowhide.diagcab. This can block unwanted driver updates from showing (at least temporarily).
