Apologies if this has been posted already but this is a method (found elsewhere, I dont take any credit for it) I've used for my last few driver installs and it works very well. No bloat and games work perfectly fine.
Open the nvidia installer exe with 7-Zip and extract what you need to a new folder then run the setup exe. Nvidia Control Panel is still available with this method, just the superfluous guff like Geforce Experience isn't.

I've seen this before and it totally works for a minimalistic install. But it should be noted that this custom form of installing drivers should only be done if you know what all of these components do. Some features may be needed, like NV3D and HD Audio, while for others they can be safely removed.
You're right. It should only be used if you really do not want the extra features. With a minimalist install I have far fewer nvidia services/processes running in the background (telemetry) than I used to. Any actual diffference/improvement to gaming performance is negligible but still
