    Gigabyte Windforce GTX970 D3D Error: 0x8876086A

    Hey guys

I seem to keep getting this particular error when I try to boot games or launch my video player on my PC.
It seems to resolve itself for sometime if I reboot the PC, but after a number of hours the issue persists again. I have the latest Win10 updates and also the latest Nvidia updates. I haven't tried uninstalling the GPU driver as of yet, I am just wondering if anyone else has struck this particular fault or may know what this may mean.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will update the thread if anything changes.

    Thanks!

It could be fast boot, you could try disabling it in BIOS and see if the problem goes away.

I turned fast boot off a while ago, it was causing issues with something else that has slipped my memory now. So far after removing the GPU driver and reinstalling it I haven't experienced the issue again thus far. I will post again if it shows up. Really hopeful it's not the GPU as I really can't afford to buy one of same tier at the moment.

It may not be the hardware but something with your machine and that particular driver. You could try the previous version and see if it does it with that.

How do you go about installing a previous driver? Do I uninstall it and select a specific version on the Nvidia website?

    You go to Nvidia's website.
