Force Intel HDMI Audio Output Possible ?

This post is to document yet another flow I observed in Intel Graphics Driver (any) in my laptops .

My observation is that on connecting an HDMI cable , only international brands are detected to be HDMI audio capable devices and instantly start playing audio on those devices (Samsung , Sharp , Sony , LG) while not so famous brands when connected are not recognized by driver as audio playback capable device and the HDMI port would only output video feed .

Now this is just a useless precaution , why would Intel attempt to recognize if connected device is an audio capable devices or not , why not just pass audio regardless like every other game console or android operated device or even when in doubt allow toggling it on as an option , do they just have to piss us into trouble shooting loops ?

Also like this isn't enough , there floats a lot of support posts on forums blaming HDMI cables and directing people into buying a v 1.4 HDMI cable and when that still not work would direct them into buying branded more expensive cables , honestly now a days all manufactured cables are v 1.4 or v 2.0 that even if someone would consider buying a v 1.3b cable would find difficulty locating one , so i really hope people would stop just directing people to invest in hardware without decent trouble shooting first .

Now my question is , is there a hack / registry tweak / spoof to just force intel to HDMI audio output despite whatever intel senses ?

@glitchdweller: have you tried this HP "Troubleshooting" support article: HP PCs - Troubleshooting HDMI Display and Sound Issues (Windows 10, 8, 7) | HP® Customer Support It may contain something helpful. Sorry for your troubles (both posters): this kind of thing can be a genuine PITA to diagnose and fix.

I looked at this pace and it has nothing about forcing a dvi output out a solution to my issue, I have 2 posts about my issue on my account that you may need to see to get an in depth description on what is happening on my pc

Sorry it didn't prove helpful. I apologize for wasting your time. Perhaps our local audio wizards @Berton and @fireberd can weigh in here? Best wishes toward getting this solved.

I'll comment but I don't have any sold info other than what I've personally worked with. I've never heard of device specific sound issues. If the HDMI sound works with a "brand" name device then the audio is available for ANY device, in all PC HDMI connections In the PC's that I've had with HDMI output (that Includes Dell, Lenovo, Acer and Toshiba).

That is what logic instructs but not intel's . Check the HDMI audio section in Intel Graphics Control Panel , if you plug in a branded display it would just detect it and display it as an audio capable device , if not it would just display No audio capable device was found and would mute audio from HDMI feed , now seriously why do they even bother attempting to detect before passing audio , the device even if not audio capable wouldn't be affected and would just discard the audio data (Just like plugging a satellite receiver/cable box to some non audio projector) which is what pisses me off .

As I mentioned, what experience I've had that does not hold true.

Unlike the u.s the majority of the world highly use brand-less (White box) / national / chinese brands because they are cheaper , most of these are the ones un-recognized as audio capable devices , surprisingly the ones that do get recognized are chinese ones that spoof their device name to something branded , is where my remark comes from .

American exceptionalism... I live in the rest of the world and have never seen a brand-less /national (?) brand TV.
