Upgraded and running Win10 now, but BSoD on AMD drivers

    Hi

I reserved, Upgraded and now running win10 smoothly except for an occasional Blue Screen Internal_power_error (probably caused by AMD) I have HD 8750m card and installed the Win10 drivers from AMD website.

    Thanks

What's the make and model of your laptop?

Some detailed hardware specs could help diagnose the problem too.

There are a lot of INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR BSODs going on with ATI mobile GPU drivers at the moment, I am looking into it but have yet to find a fix so far. The best option would be to check your laptop vendor's website to see if they are hosting Windows 10 drivers specific for their hardware.

    Its HP Probook 450 G1,

so far I tried the Windows 10 drivers on the AMD website, the drivers in Windows update, and the drivers from HP, nothing solved the problem, I barely had time to write this post

    Thanks!

Edit: Vasvaska on HP forums gave this solution I'm going to try out, LINK

After a few hours fixing Windows 10 Problems, I think I found the one for the dGPU:
My PC: HP Probook 450 G1 (i7, AMD Radeon HD 8750M, 8Gb Ram)
1: Dissable the dGPU: I reccomend from the Device Manager very fast after boot: Win+x, M
2: uninstall all AMD software from the PC
3: download and install the later AMD drivers from amd: AMD Drivers Link
4: go to Device Manager and Click "Update" and then "find drivers automatically"
5: it should find one and install it. If it doesn't work from the first go, try again. I got it the second.
6: It should now be named "AMD Radeon HD 8750M" ( before this it was ... 8600/8700 series) .Enable the dGPU from DeviceManager.
7: In AMD CCC under software it should say driver version ending with "-HP" like this: IMGUR img.

After this I tried a game with performance mode. It worked and no BSOD. So far everything is great. Hope it works for you too

    here's what I did without disabling/enabling dGPU

    Uninstall all amd drivers
    Restart
Check if Windows automatically updated AMD drivers in device manager , if not continue
Install drivers from AMD website (15.7.1)
    Restart
Go to Device manager and check for update, it should fine update and change the name from 8600/8700 to AMD HD 8750m
    Restart
    Enjoy no BSoD Windows 10!
