    Is it my graphics card?

Hey everyone im new to this forum and I need some expertise. I recently built my first pc this summer and ive been having problems for the past 2 months with games crashing. At first they would only crash when a sound or spotify overlay came up. Now im getting graphics artifacts in some of my higher performance games like rainbow six siege. I have all the latest drivers and my card never overheats. At first i thought it was my graphics card, but I ran several graphics tests and the card handled them totally fine. Reinstalled drivers and everything. My specs are: Intel i7 770k, asus gtx 1080 with 16gigs of ram. I do have my cpu overclocked to 4.8Ghz and my gpu isnt overclocked. Ive been trying for over a month to pinpoint my problem. I feel like it may have something to do with discord running in the background? Any advice would be great!

    Hi,
Artifacts usually are gpu memory related could be from gpu overheating
Crank the fans on it to max while gaming possibly that will be enough.

Does it happen if you don't overclock your CPU? Which clocks and voltages are you adjusting?

Does Asus have something similar to EVGA Precision XOC? It's a software utility that sets up GPU. With my EVGA software I can set my fan speed modes, OC settings.

The fans are always running when I open a game or video and ive never seen the card overhear or go past 70degrees. Asus does have a gpu tweak and lighting software that came with the card and I have it installed. Evga XOC is compatible with all nvidia cards. Should that be something I should get? I turned off the overclocking for my cpu (i used the OC genie on my msi bios). I dont adjust any voltages or clocks i jist use the OC genie.

    Run the Windows Memory Diagnostic.

Type “mdsched.exe” (without quotations) into the Run dialog box and press ok.

    Hi,
Did you turn your system memory down running at default 2133 instead of 3000 ?
