This is not solved I just had several crashes while running Vmlite XP Mode. Wait for new drivers.
Very interesting. Might also have something to do with your GT 610. I have a Titan X card and had no issues during the upgrade. Any chance you can try a slightly newer model card?
That was mentioned here about SLI issues from articles read about that, did not state they were using that, i to have GeForce GTX 970 with no issues with new drivers. Doubtful OP going to buy new card as of yet or even thought of it being the card.
You're right jds63. A lot of others I've read are having troubles with multiple monitors or multiple video cards. But they are also either using some pretty old graphics cards. Radeon is especially have compatibility issues with Windows 10.
Have not done enough reading on this except for doing it for thread starter, just a bit i saw before while upgrading to Win 10 myself, thought seen some issues with higher end NVIDIA cards they might of been SLI, can't recall.
Radeon i was never too crazy about. Guess it maybe driver issue with this card, maybe not in Windows 10, wonder if was mentioned to try an older version of driver to see if it helped. As i always keep driver from before new one in case of something like this happens to me.
Ive gone back to Win 8 drivers 347.88 and they work perfectly, havent had any crashes or black screens, I am surprised they installed on win 10. Have also blocked WU from downloading the latest drivers. I wonder if all these black screens on install are because of the latest Nvidia drivers?
Possible on certain NVIDIA chipset Cards. Glad it worked and you tried that method of older driver, since was the driver that was crashing. Was a method here to stop it from updating, saw it somewhere, guess you knew then.
Seen this here, same idea different driver https://www.tenforums.com/drivers-har...o-drivers.html
I have an nvidia card. When I upgraded, it showed a yellow triangle in device manager. But, yesterday morning, Windows downloaded and installed some update, then it told me to reboot to 'fix errors' - so I did and my card is now not only perfect, but I think a clearer image than when in 8.1. Maybe its my imagination because win 10 is fast, but its an imporvement so what the heck .................
