Intel HD Graphic 4600 driver upodate

    Hi there -
Using the Intel Display Adaptor HD Graphic 4600 - and Windows 10 Pro - 64bit , Windows Update had automatically updated the driver - 20.19.15.4835 once on 17/12, once on 17/12, once on 23/12, five times on 28/12 and today -29/12- 20 times.
Unable to find any info regarding this on the internet.

For further info I am enclosing a screenshot.

Any suggestions of how to fix this?

Many thanks in advance!Intel HD Graphic 4600 driver upodate-intel-1.png

    Hey esbkk11000,
    1. Is it failing to install the driver ?
    2. What does Device Manager show for it ?

Note: I've got the intel 4600 graphics on this laptop(see specs) and I'm using the 20.19.15.4835 driver, but I had to manually install it. Windows Update never finds it ... go figure.

If the Driver was originally installed by the PC/Laptop manufacture it can sometimes struggle to update. Ive found with intel it best to remove the software completely and then either use windows update to install it or get it directly from Intel :)

The Intel HD 4600 driver on mine is 20.19.15.4549, all come from Windows updates for 4 years, no problem.
The last one about the 1703 version update.
Just leave it, no need to do anything. I have 20.19.15.4624 listed as a failed install on 05/11/17. That was actually me going to the driver and a manual update(in error...), intentionally stopped it, as no problem with the older driver.
    Still listed in update history.

The update history will start again on the next version update in a few months, and thus will go away.

The problem is the continuous install from win 10 auto update;; every time on a reboot.
I have also uninstalled the driver and then downloaded it direct from Intel, and after a reboot it will again download from MS Updates.
Sometimes a message says that the installed driver is BETTER (or similar wording) and MS will fix it.
But this has been going on for ever since 17th of December ...
It looks as though I am the only one with the problem; not info about on the net ...

    Hey esbkk11000,
Give Windows Update Mini Tool a try and hide that driver update. Download Windows Update MiniTool - MajorGeeks

    Hi All -
The install count has now reached 33!
Following Eagle51 suggestion I downloaded the Windows Update MiniTool from MajorGeeks, and the Intel driver update message has now disappeared.

Thank you all the help and suggestions, and Happy New Year to you all!
