It seems I'm not the only one experiencing YouTube video freezes with the new 18.4.1 driver. There are similar reports in this thread along with other problems such as mouse stuttering...

AMD Adrenalin 18.5.1 has just landed (dated May 23rd) and seems to be performing much better with Firefox (61.0b7). I've yet to experience any YouTube video freezes and the 100% GPU usage bug is also fixed on my system.

Finally, I feel the driver is usable and I'm very hopeful that the issues highlighted in this thread have now been resolved. How 18.5.1 performs in games I'm less certain of as I'm not much of a gamer these days!

I'm going to carry on testing for a few more days before marking the issue as resolved in this forum thread.

Just updated from 18.2.1 and is good, 18.4.1 caused me problems only with mouse movement making it jerky, never had problems with you tube and/or FF.

I think some of the bugs only affected specific hardware/software configurations, mine included.

I'm satisfied with the progress made with the latest (18.5.1) AMD Adrenalin driver, so I'm marking this thread as solved.
