Restore what to defaults?
I think we both agree a setting that impacts sleep is out of whack. If you go into your power plan that you are currently using there is an option to reset the the plan to defaults. My intention was to hope that this would reset the glitched component. Then as you know the settings you have for this plan you could re-apply.
Can I ask. Before you made this change in BIOS your machine would sleep at all?
It's only 2 weeks old and never had a problem sleeping but it never woke at the touch of a key until I enabled USB wake in the bios but it only works right for an hour and goes back to not waking when you hit a key. I will restore the power options now.
My Dell also doesn't work with any key. If I tap the power key it awakens. All these BIOS are different. Some BIOS have a setting to allow a mouse to awaken.
Lets see if this resolves.
Well I would be inclined to change BIOS back and see if sleep and awaken returns to normal. Now I read you can't get any key to work but have you tried power button. One quick click to wake.
It seems as the issue happens faster now. When the thread started you mentioned issue was an AM thing. Now you seem to be able to replicate anytime.
I read you don't do commands. Should you decide to try the powerfig command I posted is harmless and the restore is just a change in words.
Hopefully another member will have a fix.
I said morning because I used it right before retiring. I shouldn't have to use power button. It's all fixed now, I disabled hibernation sleep.
Great, think that was suggestion in Post #4.
Glad it is resolved. Not sure which driver is not behaving in hibernation.
Not in # 14, not a driver, just a simple check box..............
