Search Bar turned white on Windows 10 version 1709

For some reason my search bar went white. I googled this & seems other having issue also & tried this but works & goes back to grey till u type in search bar then goes white again.

    1. Settings - Time & language - Region & language. Change your country to Gabon.
    2. Sign out.
    3. Sign back in. The Cortana search box will be gone as Cortana is not available in Gabon.
    4. Go back into Settings and change your country back to the proper one. The Cortana search box will come back, but now it'll be black instead of white.

This does not work on 1709.

I have this problem on one of my PCs having the FCU. There is a fix on the forum here Change Color of Cortana Search Box to White in Windows 10 (use the default option).

However, the search box keeps reverting to white. I guess this feature is yet another bug not spotted by Microsoft's poor quality control.

    Another fine job MicroCrap did.
How childish. You do know you can use other OSs beside MS?

Yes that fix did not work for me either. I thinking MS changes the color scheme for that but it is annoying to see it. I just going to uninstall the last update & if it goes normal I block it till the next one.

Mine updated to 1709 earlier this week, and changed to white, but I have got used to it being white now, does not bother me too much, would be nice to go back to the old darker colour to fit in better and with all the comments on the Feedback Hub maybe it will, but as advised on here you can always change it to a Cortana icon rather than a search box if it bothers you that much

Well I figured it out seems my other PC's also did the same after this update went through KB4054022 but this update can not be uninstalled & I ran system restore & failed on any restore point. My other PC same thing so guess I have to live with it till next update.
