    Thank you for your criticism.
Tonys317 wants the additional security of having formatted the disk before.
I absolutely do, that would be the perfect scenario. When I remodel my home, I just tear down the wall with a hammer. then look inside I am not sure I understand the Kyi' method. Use their tool, make a boot disk off that, reformat, reinstall? Will Ky tool give me partition deletion (format) prompts? Then update add 2 step or whatever I choose?

Just depends on whether Tonys317 wants the additional security of having formatted the disk before starting any installation procedure. Booting his PC from any boot disk offers that possibility.

Yes, it is optional, provided the correct installation procedure is followed and correct use made of the Win10 installation disk.
What is confusing me. Kyi tool allows me to reboot without accessing anything on the troubled CPU it sounds (love it). But.... Do I ignore steps 1,2 & 3 with Kyi tool?

Do it the safest way you think possible, no data is truly ever erased off a disk, it just gets written over. That would take drills, hammers and a 100 ft of salt water for 6 months to truly erase any data.

If you really want it done right, use Diskpart and run the Clean All command, this of course will take a very long time depending on the size of the disk.

Easy way: from Kyhi's disk, run Minitool Partition Wizard:

    - choose wipe disk

Granted, you can use a command prompt, Diskpart.. but you have to feel comfortable with using a command prompt from a Win 10 install disk..

I felt a GUI solution would be more comfortable in this instance - and you now have a great tool in your toolbox ready for the future in Kyhi's disk.

That would take drills, hammers and a 100 ft of salt water for 6 months to truly erase any data.
    - perhaps 6 months is too long to wait in this instance..!

Not sure if anyone of you has tried it, but my PW Pro 9.1 Boot Disk could not see my brand new Samsung M.2, or it said "PW BOOT Disc does not support windows server" LOL so I had to use Disk Part.
It shows the M.2 with PW in Windows, but not when I booted with it (and it`s my favorite too for setting up drives)

Disk Part is a great tool to use once you master it

Safety is not the concern. I am genuinely willing to just throw this thing in an key/coil electromagnetic degausser. Then hit myself with a hammer. It is still healthy, never kill the living ('mom said that'). If I lose the drive because I mess up what sounds like great advice here, I live. Lots of cool uses for dead drives which allow me to retain the hardware. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_c...&v=hF0s_-C1-9U

Dam the torpedoes, full steam ahead Sir

As stated already, all you have to do is create a Windows 10 installer (either a DVD or a USB stick) you can then wipe the drive with it using Dikspart, and let the installer create the partitions.

Custom will display the partitions. Just click on each one and click the delete button until none are left. Click next and you’re off!
