Just means that the .exe's are associated with some other program. Go to Default Programs in the Control panel and reset that app setting. FCU had nothing to do with this.

Restore Default File Type Associations in Windows 10 Windows 10 Customization Tutorials
Try using the exe download from that tutorial to reset its association.

(Click on the 'exe' in that tutorial)

Still doesnt work. Or can i search what application that using that icon?
I already searched through entire app, but found nothing. is there something else i can do?
the app if executed was fine, but with that icon, it's kinda annoy me to look at.

And i just found, date modified in all exe is the same with the date where i updated FCU.

No app associates an .exe as a file type it can open. An exe is a program.

Perhaps something changed your .exe from Whatever.exe to Whatever.exe.abc and associated the .abc. Try turning off "Hide known file name extensions" in File Explorer options.

Are you sure it is all of them?

Have a look at (for example) C:\Windows\Notepad.exe

I don't think Windows would even boot if you associated all exe with another application - even if it was possible which I'm pretty sure it isn't.

I have upgraded to the FCU, but I don't see that icon anywhere.

Has any one else spotted that the icon resembles a red Defender shield? It could be a clue. Do you have any third-party AV installed?
