    I already included that page in my findings @FreeBooter , the problem is listed in previous post , main account is xml based , new one is database based , how to fix that ?

    Does the new account resolves the issue if it does then your main account is corrupted.

    This solved for me after cumulative update 11-2017 , so apparently it was a microsoft side glitch .

    First try creating a new local account and see if it will work. If not, try in-place upgrade to patch the whole OS.

    Totally not... (acceptable). Why not just tell me to re-install Windows? There has to be some easy way to remove the entry...

    Hi. You can select keep my files when initiating an in-place upgrade. It’ll just patch up the whole OS to fix the issue. Nothing to worry about losing important files.

    same problem upgrading from 1709 to 1803

    in start menu, other section, I have a blu icon ms-resource:appdisplayname pointing nowhere

    there must be a solution for a stupid link, no?
