I created a restore point and replaced cmos battery.
Old battery volt measures 2.3, new 3.3volts, so could have been the issue.
The pc recently has been turned off and was not keeping time, so I dont think the software is a problem.

Either you're not paying attention to my warning or you simply don't understand what was said. Either way a restore point has nothing to do with changing a CMOS battery and the warning still applies.

    Regardless, good luck.

    Good luck.
I just did, hopefully it really is solved. In the past the PC was always on, recently with the upgrade and issues it had been off, so we will see it it can keep the time ok.

There were no restore points, so making one was a good idea.

For true reliability in terms of restoring, please look at a product like Macrium Reflect. Free, reliable and member recommended.
