I am developing in c++ with the DevC++ IDE. This IDE automatically creates a .exe file when you compile and run. This will work fine for the first 10 times or so but eventually I get the error that I do not have the permissions for the .exe file that the IDE outputs. I am an administrator on my machine and that does not seem to make a difference.

On other threads, the common 'fix' is that I need to take ownership of the file. I cannot do this because, again, I do not have the permissions do to so. Everything in the security tab (and advanced security tab) is completely blocked for me. How do I go about gaining ownership of this file or permissions to use it?

Edit: I am using Windows 10
