Need telephone number of MICROSOFT Technical Support

I need to speak to a human tech support agent regarding the latest update to Windows 10. My Desktop is messed up. Thank you.

These are OS upgrades and whether MS recommends or not our data should be backed up and we should have an image with a tool like Macrium Reflect. ( It is free. ) Then it is just a matter of restoring.

Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect

I've done several machines, no issue. Probably lucky but I don't have many third party tools changing the way Windows works, I think that helps.

Tell is what your issues are - people here are better than average MS support at sorting issues.

I described my issues a few minutes ago in length - but, for some reason, the post didn't seem to go through. My issues are mostly connected to the Desktop and installing new programs after the latest Fall Creator's Update.

Don't forget this site is not associated with Microsoft but there are a great many very knowledgeable people who post here and are willing to help. Perhaps if you posted your question in the Update part of the forum you'd get help from people who specialise in helping with updating and installing the OS and your problem would be solved a lot quicker.

Good luck with getting your problem solved. :)

I do use Macrium Reflect. I don't understand why, when Microsoft issues an OS change, they can't provide technical support for their issues and resolve the problems. I have been living with problems for over two years which started when I installed W10 over W7. Now, I have new problems since I installed the Fall Update over my faulty W10. I have been advised many times to start with a clean install - but I have way too many apps and settings to deal with - so I have been stubborn and keep looking to fix my issues. Guess the only way is to perform a clean install and bite the bullet. But it will take me at least a year to get to where I want to be. Ugh!!!

    Hi,
Yeah clean install is offered way too much as a fix
A stable os as many have stated should not have to be clean installed once or twice a year
That is my definition of a unstable os :)
