    Corrupt Segment


    I have a external hard drive connected to my computer that has all my quickbooks files on it but have a corrupt segment, the number chkdsk gave me was 3EFSD. Can somebody please help me fix it.

    Hi there. For now I recommend to dismount it and shut it down until we come up with a solution. Does it make any kind of ticking noise?

    Please update the system specs in the "My Computer" section so that there is information on the drives:

    In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
    After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.

    What was the chkdsk command that you ran that displayed 3EFSD?
    Was there any additional information displayed?

Twice in the last month or so I've noticed my Macrium images have been failing due to MFT Corrupt error. Does anyone have any idea why the MFT would be corrupting? 320427
