Unpinning apps from the Start Menu ?

So, am I just stupid or when I right click an app and choose "Unpin from Start" the app is still in the Start Menu and works no problem, am I just missing something or there is no way to get rid of pinned apps ?

Also I read somewhere that when you right click a blank space on the start menu "Properties" should appear, yet for me - nothing happens.

    Hello Ra1d,

Pinned apps on Start would be the tiles on the right side of the Start menu instead.

The ones listed on the left side of Start (not in all apps) are just your most used apps. The tutorial below can help show you how to remove these.

    Hope this helps, :)

Thanks, but I'm actually trying to get rid of the tiles on the right side of the start menu, according to this video ( Windows 10 REMOVE LIVE TILES from start! - YouTube) it should be as simple as right clicking and choosing "Unpin from Start Menu", but for some reason when I do that, the app does not disappear, I think my windows 10 is screwed up somehow.

I had just done removing the tiles. They stayed gone. I did do something quirky which I had not done with Win 8.1. I turned off Live tiles first before unpinning.

There was right-click context menu outside of the tiles in Start Menu for me.

    Ra1d,

Correct. That should be how it's done like below.

'Pin to Start' and 'Unpin from Start' items in Windows 10

If you are still not able to, then you might see if doing a system restore using a restore point dated before this issue to hopefully allow you to do so afterwards.
