    Great catch! There is always problems with translations. This is not just Windows but everywhere. However MS should have checked things like this before release.

    That's why I use English versions of everything, to be in the language it's written in. Translation (of OS) is so terribly badly done that most of the time I can't get what the heck they are talking about. Inventing words that never existed etc.

    That question really is made misleading on purpose, there's no way they would accidentally ask "Are you sure?" with button NO to be clicked if answer is "Yes, I am sure! I'll stick with local account"" and button YES meaning "No, I changed my mind, I'll go with MS account instead".

    That does of course not change my opinion about Windows 10. It's a flexible, well working, versatile OS and absolutely my favourite.

    There's many nonsensical dialog MS has come with in style of "No I'm sure I don't want to delete... "

    I went back to 8.1 pro. I have no interest in the creators addition. Updates seem to create problems. today I cannot delete or move backup files in Macrium backups. error code 0x80070510 I opened a problem report in Macrium but I am sure that it is probably caused by MS.
    today I could not get Chrome to open system real slow so I went back to yesterdays image file.

    The FCU is sorting itself out by itself and settling down nicely in the new neighborhood. MS slipping unannounced updates into this PC which might explain the stability getting better. Why would you go backwards in a forward thinking world?

    @Kari

    i understand you were in good faith since you use it mostly in English,
    so thanks for checking it out in Italian, as you verified i was in good faith too,
    i have no access to an English version so my experience is limited to Italian,

    All the best:)

    For the first time since 1607 broke it, checking for updates over metered connections appears to work the way it was always supposed to.
    What updates do actually download over metered connections?

    The above link no longer works, apparently @Brink has deemed it worthy of attaching to a tutorial (I'm embarrassed to say. Thanks Brink, I feel honoured).

    I'm sure they put a lot of effort into making sure the statement was deliberately confusing/misleading.

    Just like the infamous closing a GWX dialog window would be treated as "yes please install W10".

    If you want to be sure of avoiding the online account, make sure your PC cannot connect to a network during the clean install procedure.

    If you have a laptop you may have to diasable the network in the UEFI/BIOS.
