Since fall creators update has come and I have noticed people having issues. Therefore I ask are people deciding to go back to 7 and 8.1 out of frustration?
    Hi,
    Can't go back to win-7 since I never left 7 :)
Two different windows operating systems can live at the same time
It's called having your cake and eating it too

I primarily use win-7 it is rock solid and has more user control
Updates that may or may not bork a system can more easily be removed/ and hidden till eol if need be which is 2020.
I personally haven't had any updates that borked anything in 7 knock on wood yet
But it is a daily driver
10 is a toy I use periodically mostly to benchmark new hardware once I'm done I put it back in a drawer for 3-6 months and connect win-7 again and back into business.

IMHO, they are more likely to just go back to 1703, than going to Windows 8 or 7.
I agree, I did. Once you get use to Windows 10, it is a better OS, and support for 7 is ending sooner that first posted by MS.

For those who don't know, Windows 10 will become a subscription service. Enterprise will be first at about $7 a user per month. Consumers will come later at about $5 per user per month. That is why they tried to force everyone to Windows 10.

I try to like Windows 10 but this 1709 update is Microsoft's latest test of patience. If I have to set up Edge in that wilfully clunky UI one more time, I might just stop using it. As for removing the full size option in the touch keyboard, I just ...don't .....understand. As for still more of the Settings app displaying 'Some settings are hidden...', if Microsoft has no urge to fix the underlying problem then there will come a day when none of the 'Settings' can be changed. Oh man! What a mess!

Can you link to any official (Microsoft) document supporting that claim please.

    Hi,
Well that is the fun part of win-10 starting over after large updates ?
People are getting religious about the need to clean install these large build updates to fix issues
To me that is a fairly lame approach to claiming win-10 is as stable as it gets
Seems to me is it just the opposite of stable if the above holds a drop of water

I haven't done a clean install in a long time
I relived a install from a replaced 8 year old Acer board that was free upgraded twice from 7 home premium to 8.1 pro to win-10 pro.
Replace the board inserted the same ssd with the original win-10 on it and reactivated it with a new win-7 pro key.
But I have had to redo every setting after these updates.
Which is getting very old and time consuming.

Yes, I can. It's also common sense. It's already a subscription service for enterprise, and I guarantee it will happen with Consumers. Not this year. Maybe not next year. But it will happen within the next 3 to 5 years. They will likely wait until end of life for Windows 7 which is January 14, 2020 or Windows 8.1 which is January 10, 2023.

Subscription (volume License) for Windows has been around for ages. It just wasn't available to the consumer. It's geared for Corporate customers You currently can't buy a single license. That may change. It has advantages, Software assurance for example.

Office 365 has been around for a while too. Its geared more for the consumer side though. That looks to be changing.

That doesn't mean it will be the only option. I haven't seen anything official from Microsoft stating subscription will be the only option.

I did not see Windows 10 Home or Pro listed there.
